What's New at CrunchyPDF
We'd rather keep a short, accurate log than pretend the site has a longer history than it does. Here's what's actually changed, and when.
โ Guide library expansion
- Deepened all eight existing guides with additional sections, diagrams, and expanded FAQs.
- Added six new guides: password protection, PDF vs Word, PDF/A archival format, batch processing, troubleshooting broken PDFs, and a short history of the PDF format.
- Added a dedicated FAQ hub covering the site as a whole, separate from the tool-specific FAQ on the home page.
- Added audience guides for students, freelancers & small business, and legal & healthcare professionals.
- Added author attribution and "last updated" dates across all guide and info pages.
โ Guide library launch
- Published the first eight PDF guides covering compression, privacy, email limits, file size, client-side vs server-side processing, merging/splitting, and image conversion.
- Added dedicated About, Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, and Contact pages with real, crawlable navigation (replacing modal-only links).
- Added a sitemap and robots.txt.
Earlier โ Tool launch
CrunchyPDF launched with its five core tools โ Compress, Merge, Split, Image โ PDF, and PDF โ Image โ all running entirely client-side in the browser. See About CrunchyPDF for the full story.
